: Outstanding views, very remote and the food was top quality. Staff were all very friendly and it was a very relaxing stay. Good base to explore the area and the drive from Fort Augustus to the hotel was spectacular.
: The rooms were a little dated and the bar could have stayed open a little later, closing at 10pm every night apart from Sundays which was 8.00pm. Given it is 12 miles to the nearest village with any facilities there was not much else to do!! You had to book dinner the night before or miss out with only crisps to buy, which we found out one night. The rooms were not cleaned/beds made or restocked during our 4 night stay but these are just observations, none of it spoilt our stay.

: Lovely location overlooking Lochness, shame someone built a caravan park below spoiling the view
: On the weekend of our stay there was a major cycling event on the Sunday (the day we were scheduled to depart). This meant all roads in/out were closed from 7:25am - Midday. Clearly the hotel cant control this but no one informed us in advance. And when we arrived the day before, still no one let us know. We only found out when we saw signage. We immediately raised this with the hotel to see if we could depart a day early. They ignored our calls until 18:00 at which point we had no choice but to stay overnight & leave at 6:30am to avoid getting stuck & missing our train. The problem was raised by the staff to the manager who did their utmost to ignore us, never addressed the problem or apologised for the lack of information. With regards to the hotel the restaurant is limited, youre stuck with two or three courses (even if you only want one) in the evenings. The food is OK but the breakfast in particular could use some refinement. After some great hotels on our Scotland trip this one was the worst.

: Classically Scottish Hotel with a lovely view of Loch Ness. Breakfast was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable.
: Rooms could have been cleaner and a fridge would have been preferable, as would hand towels and a bathmat.
