  : Great accommodation for the 6 of us. Had everything we needed to have a relaxing holiday. The enclosed garden was perfect for the 2 dogs who loved running around the bungalow at speed.The park at the back of the house was also great to walk dogs.It made an ideal base for visiting the areas historical Willie's and towns.Quiet and very relaxing.
  : There was nothing to not like about the place. Just a couple of suggestions to owners, a tray for standing muddy boots in the hall under the coat rack would be a good idea. A few more mugs would also be a bonus.

  : Only one slight difficulty, which is nobody's fault, it was difficult to see oncoming traffic when coming out of the drive.

  : * Comfy beds. Beds were extremely comfortable!* Nice outdoor space, the lavender terrace and gardens were lovely and it was a bonus to have the orchard and private parkland.* Nice quiet location. Such a peaceful area. * Informative book of local places and the property was very good. * Welcome hamper was very welcomed. * On hand for recommendations when we were seeking a local pub.* Very spacious with property.* Lots of amenities, smart tv, washing machine and dishwasher all very handy. * All staff encountered prior and during stay were really lovely.
  : I think overall the place was lovely and would stay again but quite a few things need addressing.* Moldy mirrors hallway, master bedroom.* Mold in shower master bath by bath tray. Bleach could probably sort that. * Carpets dirty - pee/stains.* Carpet in hall and main bedroom needs stretching as starting to loosen.* Kettle was not useable. Never seen anything so gross to be honest. More limescale than kettle! Had to use a pot to heat water for tea.* Missing shelf in fridge door not major but would of been handy for bottles. * Freezer needs defrosting looked like North Pole in there!* Garden not secure for small dogs. It has chicken wire but there are holes so our small dog escaped 3 times. Thankfully we were with dog and no harm was done.* Sofas need replacing, the springs have gone and they sag terribly. Not comfortable at all.* A lot of flies around kitchen and living room area.* The doorstep is extremely slippery when it rains so take care not to fall.* It’s a sharp turn and difficult view when leaving and entering driveway.

  : The large private gardens, apple orchard (in full blossom at time of visit) and 15 acres of parkland was the unexpected highlight of our trip. Plus the whole area was fenced with chicken wire to make it very dog friendly. The lodge itself is lovely and in a beautiful location, perfect for a visit to Dedham, Flatford, Hadleigh and Colchester.
  : The property was very clean but some of the furniture has seen better days such as the sagging springs in the sofas. We placed a cushion under the seat and this solved the problem. The kitchen was a good space to cook in and had lots of free storage shelves for food but let down by a missing shelf in the fridge door. Some of the cooking implements were a bit cheap and bendy. The dining table and outdoor table were both a little wobbly to eat at. That said, I would definitely stay here again but a little TLC would be appreciated.

  : Truly exceptional holiday cottage. The location is effectively on the corner of an estate, which makes up a larger combination of parkland, orchard and old Suffolk mansions. It's tranquil, undisturbed and immersive - if you have dogs or kids the 12 acres of private grassland and walks are absolutely beautiful.We arrived during the Coronavirus outbreak which was both a blessing and a curse - this meant all the pubs closed the first night we stayed, but it did mean it was somewhat easier to stroll the country lanes without fear of large volumes of traffic. The kitchen has most utensils you could need for a few days stay and the complimentary teabags were a godsend when the local Co-Op in Dedham had sold out (be aware - this is the nearest supermarket, and it's about a 3 mile walk or drive).There is ample parking for 2 cars on the private gravel driveway (be prepared for a fairly tight turn to get in and a slightly tricky blindspot pulling out).
  : There's a few bits inside the cottage which are a little dated and could do with a lick of paint or a touch of repair, but frankly absolutely everything else made up for it - and there's nothing that didn't work. The two smaller bedrooms can be a little chilly at night due to rustic metalframe windows but the quilts are correspondingly thicker than the average tog.
