: Breakfast was really really good, in a nice small restaurant adjacent to the main hotel (Golden Sail, but we stayed in a different property so had to walk). Reception is 24/7, which helps if you have a late or early flight, and the location is very convenient - close to a number of restaurants, and generally in a nice area in Sultanahmet, as well as close to the main mosques. The room was very clean, albeit a bit dusty due to being recently renovated.
: Due to an alleged technical issue with our room, we were relocated to a secondary hotel from the same owner upon arrival, without previous warning. That hotel had just recently opened, but wasn't quite ready yet. While we were grateful the owner had a Plan B, this secondary hotel didn't match our expectations from Golden Sail reviews, and we were not offered any discount. Location was a bit worse, two blocks away from Golden Sail, in not such a touristic street. The room had some unfinished bits, such as a pipe hanging from the wall next to the bed, or the shower pipes that weren't fully screwed in. All door frames were badly installed, which meant all doors required slamming to shut (including your neighbours, at 7am), and the bathroom had no water on our last day. Last unpleasant surprise is that this property a lot closer to the local mosque, and the 5th floor window aligns almost perfectly to the Minaret which means being woken up every day at 4:50am, religiously. : Family owned hotel. Owner family is trying to do their best. But ....
: Unfortunatelly sometimes lack of good fluent english is a barrier. Hotel is located on rush street, it was impossible to fell asleep before midnight (because of streat restaurants and loud music nearby). Morning dustmen doing their jobs woke me up at 6am! Getting breakfast before 8am is almost impossible and promissed sandwiches were not served, luckily they could give us a fresh juice instead.
