  : Super location near the starting point of the hike to Preikestolen. Easy to get there either by car or a bus (e.g. Pulpit Rock tour), about 1 hour from the city central bus station. Cool view to the lake and mountains. Nice restaurant with super tasty food (salmon is awesome) and cafe. It's always possible to buy some snacks for a hike (you can find them in restaurant/cafe/tourist shops). Facilities like frisbeegolf, hottub, sauna. Another hike besides Preikestolen I'd recommend is Moslifjellet. It's much less crowdy (I actually didn't meet anyone on that hike), a bit more challenging and wild. It's not visible on google maps but you can find it on e.g. openstreetmaps.
  : Buildings are old (but condition is excellent) and sound isolation is very poor. You can hear every step and conversation not only neighbors but almost every inhabitant of a building.
