June Lake Motel

  : First of all I’m not sure if this is booking.com’s fault or June Lake motel but we booked for a room with 2 queen size beds. When we arrive we noticed the room had one queen and one full size bed. We tried to talk to the staff to see if we could get the correct room we booked and they said that was a mistake. There are no rooms at all that have 2 queen size beds. They said they had asked booking.com to fix it but working with them was like “banging your head against the wall”. Overall a little annoying that we weren’t told back when we booked our stay. It wasn’t comfortable squishing 2 people on a full sized bed. Then one day we tried to get the maid to come to replace our towels. We must have put the sign out to late so we tried to go to the front desk for help, but it was closed with no notice in the middle of the day. We then called and were told that they were out running errands and had to wait until 2pm (around 2/3hours) if we wanted new towels. Just wish the timing of everything was more clear and there was better service.

  : I liked that it was close to the lake.
  : It was a lot smaller than it looked. Check in was at 3 and no one was there to check us in. Multiple groups of people in the parking lot trying to check in. Someone had to call the emergency on property line multiple times just to get someone to check us in. And when someone finally came they confirmed our reservation and handed us a key and told us to come back later to finish checking in and by this point it was already 3:50. Anytime we tried to go back to the office it was closed. Check out was by 10 and we went up to the office at around 9 and again no one was there. So we put our key in the box and left. Went 4 days without seeing a single person who seemed to actually work there.
