: The refreshing northern meltmi wind blows right through our room. We overlooked the hole city from our apartment. Our hosts, not at all obtrusive, Georges, Eleni and Anastasia, make you feel like home. Certainly Georges speaks English fluently, after his 20 years in Melbourne, Australia. After supper the walk back from the city centre up to our apartment is healthy. And once back home, we felt privileged to stay a little away from the busy city center. The beach of Pigadia is nearby and the more quiet beach of Amoopi is with the city bus only 15 minutes away (price for the bus: 2,50 euro). The hole island of Karpathos is stunning. I just recommand you the well marked walk from Mesochori to kato Lefkos. (PS: on the track you can dinner in Eklekton Taverna in ano Lefkos; info: "walking the Greek islands"). In Pigadia we liked eating in "El Greco" and in "The Life of Angels Restaurant". Have a nice stay. Ps: the Wifi is excellent!

: The hotel is clean and the owners are nice and friendly. The area is calm with a nice view and windy, which is good for the heat.
: The information about the distance to the beach is not correct. It is still walking distance(1 km) but not 200 mt as indicated. This is an important information for people without a car. We used a shortcut for 2 days (the road you can see on google maps that goes directly down) but we were told off by the people of the other hotel who told us that this was a private road so we could not use it. So this means taking the longer road which is about 1km to the nearest beach. The kitchen was not equipped enough for a longer stay. It could use an upgrade.
