  : Two hours into a five hour drive (due to snow) I called to notify our check in would be 11-1130pm. We booked through booking.com a few hours before. The woman we spoke with rudely said that check in closed at 10pm and they require 24 hours to process a booking. I said I was halfway there and had the confirmation on my email so I wasn't sure how that was my problem. She fortunately left us a key to get in our room. There are no tvs and the silence is deafening so I would recommend bringing a white noise machine if you can. The place desperately needs soundproofing of some kind. Our second night a random person opened our door and came into our room which woke me up, because they were told their room was the one we were sleeping in. A staff member then knocked on the door and said sorry. These same people were put in the room directly next to us, and it is awful how paper thin the walls are. We could hear them brushing their teeth and going "number 2" as if we were sitting in the bathroom with them. Please understand this is not an exaggeration. I'd recommend staying elsewhere unless you're forced into it last minute like we were while chasing snow. Another note: rather than leave new lotion and shampoo in the bathroom they left previously used and opened ones.. gross. Beds are soft and uncomfortable. I am 6ft tall and my feet didn't have enough room. We stayed many years ago and felt incredibly welcome, but none of that existed this time around. Seems to be a new owner who probably doesn't care as much.

  : This is such a quaint place. We loved the decor and the fact that there is a beautiful bar. The owners were great and we loved talking to them. My only recommendation would be to upgrade the bathrooms in the bedrooms. Other than this it was a great get away place

Disappointing

  : It was the ideal location for staying for the Sugarloaf Marathon (1/4 mile from finish line). Can’t beat that. Also a very quiet area.
  : Property was recently sold and the new owners were in the process of shutting down for a major transformation. So the restaurant and bar were closed, and the rooms are in dire need of updating. I wish the new owners well and success in the new phase.

  : The location and the people were nice.
  : Very run down and in need of serious updating. No sound proofing between rooms. Our room was dusty and dingy. Bathroom fixtures were ancient.
