  : Casale Marittimo is a beautiful village within a short drive of Bolgheri - which is more touristy. Loved the views overlooking gorgeous landscape and large rooms. Appreciated the chance to stay in an old, stately home. Francesco was very accomodating and helped with our luggage because there is no on-site parking and no elevator.

  : Wow, what amazing views across the valley. Francesco was super friendly and super helpful. A very comfortable place to stay. Wifi was good. Breakfast was good. A few steps to the main piazza and restaurants in a great small village.

  : The view was certainly spectacular and the rooms very big, and the guy at reception was very friendly
  : We were bitten by bed bugs!!!We had asked in advance for 2 separate beds, which was confirmed, but obviously ignored. Had to share a really old squeeky and uncomfortable bed. We woke each other all night just my moving slightly. And then the next day those bug bites showed up, all over face arms and hands, just disgusting. I wish we could get our money back.

  : The property is in a lovely location in Casale Marittimo, with great views over the surrounding countryside. It is located in a narrow street, with the possibility to park the car for 10 minutes while you load or unload your luggage. Inside are 2 levels of rooms and I opted for ground floor without having to climb any stairs. The manager, Francesco was extremely helpful, with my luggage, with my request for an early breakfast and with helping me down the tricky steps down to the breakfast room. Casale Marittimo feels like undiscovered Tuscany, and is a lovely destination.
  : The room was quite spacious but sparsely furnished. some rugs on the floor or curtains on the window would have been welcome, perhaps also a cosy seating area. There is no TV or phone (which was actually fine for me), or coffee/tea making facilities, and not many outlets to charge your electronic devices either.
