  : Warm family feel and very nice owners and staff. A pleasure to talk to all very pleasant.The swimming pool was very good.
  : We were very disappointed with our room considering the £200 price we paid per night. We were in the Stables annex away from the main house. We had a sneak view of the room opposite and it was lovely so we were unlucky been given the worst room in the place. This other room had a huge TV and really nice armchairs.The bathroom was superb, though on the last day there was no water for a shower. On the four other days it did work it was brilliant.The bedroom with nice bed and was comfortable but had a severe personality disorder in an English country home with reproduction French tapestries of a hunt scene from a French museum. French furnishings etc. The attached conservatory was awlful. Terrible weird chairs from that may have come from a French second hand shop. The tiled floor had not seen a mop or polished for ages, the tacky plastic plants, windows that did not fit in the frames. Looked out on a small featureless “garden”. Not a colourful planter or hanging basket in sight. Depressing place to sit needs complete overhaul or demolishing.We did sit twice in the guest lounge in the main which was very pleasant. This was warm, cosy and had all the features our room lacked.
