  : Garden room comfortable with lovely private garden. Good breakfast but see below. Good parking. Good location.
  : Obvious shortage of staff at breakfast. The only poor lass was rushed off her feet and we had to remind her more than once about toast, coffee etc, as did others. Not her fault though, just too busy. Blocked shower tray outlet, which meant shower was almost overflowing. Towel rail leaking slightly and dripping onto very soggy loo roll! We pointed these out on leaving. Noise from wedding party.

  : The hotel was able to accommodate a last minute booking with a very late check in. Because of traffic I was even a bit later than expected and the owner personally stayed up to check me in. The hotel is beautiful (old brick and roses) and all the staff were very polite and helpful. The room was lovely and clean with a large bathroom and complimentary coffee/tea/biscuits. Parking on site very convenient. I shall definitely stay again.
  : I could hear a humming/low electrical type noise in my room. Sounded like a generator in an adjacent part of the building (i.e. wasn't the fridge or heating in the room). That was the only minor dislike.

  : Independent hotel in a gorgeous period building. Rooms tastefully designed with a mix of period and modern furniture and decor. Lovely communal period drawing room. The beds and pillows are super comfortable. Tea, water, and espresso machine in bedrooms, including a small fridge.Very good breakfast with lots of choice. Efficient and very friendly staff. We stayed in Victoria which was a small cosy room but totally adequate in size. Wasn't en-suite but the bathroom was opposite our room and private to us. And, huge! This setup wasn't a problem at all. Plenty of parking available at the hotel, which is a couple of minutes walk into central Litchfield.Would definitely stay again and in Victoria bedroom.
  : As seems to be the norm these days, not being able to open the lovely huge sash bedroom window. As our room was at the front, there was a little bit of light traffic noise now and again, but this is understandable given the hotels central location.

  : Breakfast was exceptional. Locational very good for visiting Lichfield itself
  : Room faced onto street and would have been very noisy if we had opened the window. The electric fan made all the difference. It might not have been enough in summer. The ensuite bathroom was across a public passage.
