  : the location in the center is convenient for exploring the city on foot.
  : the communication beforehand was not good. my flight got changed to a day later and I contacted the owner to change the booking (it was cancelable for free at the time, however I didnt want to cancel just change the dates). Instead of replying an explaining that changing the booking is not possible because they are afraid they wont be a lie to fill that night, they didnt really reply anything until it was too late and I couldnt change or cancel any more. I kept waiting for a reply, which only came clearly AFTER I could no longer cancel or change. I requested a room with 2 single beds, got a double bed instead, and although a second blanket was delivered later on, my initial request was ignored. last but not least, we had room 5 and the bathroom assigned to that room had a strange unpleasant smell. it was clean but was smelling.

  : We booked a suite, but it looked like a simple double room: not decorated, practically no furnish (even no chairs) and all is very old dated. The window rests against the wall of the opposite house, so the room is dark. The breakfast was very poor, and you had to cook everything yourself, even boil the eggs! Overall, it's more like a hostel than Bad and Breakfast.

  : location is very good: walking distance to cais do sodre and all the other places of interest. we received information from Catarina via whatsapp before we arrived (no check-in desk) and therefore finding and getting in the property went smoothly.
  : 1) breakfast was for me too meagre and without any variety: same kind of bread (1 sort), homemade - i think - jams (6 kinds), egg (boiled or however you are ready to make it yourself), cheese (1 kind), ham (1 sort), a bottle of orange juice (freshly squeezed), corn cereals, fruits (apple, pear). 2) our private bathroom/toilet, which was outside of our room and was clean, but it stank: it smelled of the sewer during our entire stay. its most likely due to how it was constructed. 3) the description on the booking.com site says "All units are equipped with a microwave, fridge, an electric tea pot, a oven and coffee machine." THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE: our unit did not have any of this. It did have a TV (which we don't know if it works because we never turned it on.
