  : Excellent host. Location a little remote from main attractions and railway station, however, it is not a problem, Lucca especially old city) is not very big.

  : Breakfast was not being served as advertised, as it is served during the summer months only.
  : My Italian is not great, and I was arriving late at night, and I didn't quite understand the response from the owner about my late arrival (as my Italian is not great). I tried numerous times for them to clarify what they had said about my late arrival / check-in was OK, and they didn't respond. A simple, yes we will be there, just call this number when you arrive would have been sufficient. On arrival, the owner was very friendly and accommodating. I think better communication prior to my arrival would have improved my ratings, as I wasn't 100% sure what the late arrival instructions were.

  : Very nice host and lovely villa, not far from historical center (15 min walking). Possibility to lock motorbikes in a garage. Very nice breakfast in the quiet courtyard behind the villa.
  : Perhaps a bit noisy for rooms facing the main road.

  : A lovely welcome from the owner, very kind man who even gave me a lift to the station in the morning. A house and room with great character and charm. I liked it very much.
  : A bit disappointed that 'breakfast' was pre-wrapped baked goods, espresso coffee from a machine and water, juice and yoghurts from a fridge in the entrance hall.
