  : The location of this hotel is superb, close to lovely walks and quite central to the New Forest. The food was lovely, had a great breakfast with plenty of choice and gluten free options too. The dinner had a variety too and a nice relaxing garden. Quirky rooms with unique decor.
  : Unfortunately, our room was not clean. There was thick dust on pretty much every service and the shower screen and bathroom appliances looked like they hadnt been touched. First time telling staff one shelf was dusted, second time most of it was gone but still the shower for me I just could not use. After talking to the manager the third time nothing was done in compensation considering we spent a good amount of money on our two night stay and it was easy to rectify. The manager did not seem interested compared to the helpfulness of the friendly, helpful and apologetic staff.Very very unfortunate as had it been cleaned properly we would be returning, but this let it down which was a real shame.Had it been dealt with appropriately too the first time round, I would have been a lot happier.

  : Lovely location in Burley The room was 'Cosy' and comfortable The breakfast was perfect and plentiful We had one evening meal and were very impressed with the food
  : Only comment I have is that the drinks from the bar were quite expensive For our stay there wasn't anything we didn't like Nothing else to report

  : The pub exceeded expectations and to be honest the pictures on Booking.com didn't do it justice. The rooms were nice, clean had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect bang in the middle of the New Forest. We were accommodated for our request for my parents to join us for breakfast. They were caravanning nearby.
  : The staff were ok. I wouldn't say they were rude but they didn't have a lot of time for the hotel guests. We couldn't check-in early which is fine but the way we were told was a bit rushed and brash. We had a similar experience in the evening when we ate in the evening. It happened to be one particular staff member each time so maybe she was just having a bad day. The shower was a bit stiff and needed an updated.
