  : I liked the outlook from the window looking over the cobblestone street, church and restaurants.
  : All of the doors were difficult to open. Be aware you can't drive up to it, you have to park a few streets away and walk.

  : Located in a lovely area of Maastricht with many options for eating and drinking and in very close proximity to major points of interest. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and spacious. Despite the lively location, good double-glazing ensured a good sleep! Staff on site could not have been more helpful.
  : A very minor gripe: the hairdryer was fixed to the wall of the bathroom and so could not be used if someone else needed to shower or use the bathroom. A strange choice, given all of the other space available but hardly a game-changer!

  : Check in process was challenging. Was supposed to receive a code for the key box, but never did. No one at the restaurant when we arrived. Did not have cell service to call for code. Wi-Fi did not work well.

  : Only the location, which was great.
  : 1. Booking.com reviews: almost all were very good, so I booked this hotel. It was awful. This leads me to wonder how many of booking.com reviews are legitimate, and of those that are legitimate, how many of the travelers who wrote those reviews are complete idiots. 2. Specifically about our room, room number 1: No lighting - we couldn't see anything inside. We had to open the curtains to see what we were doing, and people outside were then staring in. 3. No surfaces to put anything on. No hangers in the wardrobe. The only cupboard was filled with ironed sheets and other bedding - there was nowhere to put any of our clothes, and there was nowhere to rest either of our suitcases. 4. 1970's bathroom with leaking sink and inadequate lighting. The hot and cold water dials in the sink are deteriorating so much that the handles have sharp plastic ridges. 5. Wasted space in the sleeping area, with NO furniture, no chairs, no storage, no chest of drawers, nothing. 6. Separate seating area had adequate lighting, a love seat and a small table, but the lighting there did not reach to the sleeping area, which was very dark, and we had to use the love seat and small table in the seating area as surfaces to put our suitcases on. 7. Coffee machine did not work. 8. Cheap and uncomfortable foam mattresses. In summary, this hotel (at least our room number 1) is a perfect example of an establishment whose owners think they can just clean a room (it was very clean) but who do nothing to actually make it habitable or to update its limited facilities. We hated coming back to the room, as it was so uncomfortable and unpleasant. It is truly one of the worst hotel rooms we have ever stayed in - we stayed 2 nights.
