  : Good location and the room was clean, bed comfortable.
  : Be prepared to walk 8 narrow flights of poorly lit stairs or use tiny, rickety elevator. Bathroom and bedroom so tiny you can barely turn around. I cant imagine more than one person at a time in this room. If this is all you can afford, at least its clean.

  : Excellent location right off Gran Via. Everything was very clean and there were welcoming details like bottled water in the mini-fridge, and some fruit & snacks. Bathroom was stocked with shampoo and liquid soap. Overall, the furnishings and room were in very good condition with no defects or excessive signs of wear. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. AC worked well. Water pressure was good and plenty of hot water. We felt safe in the building and the location.
  : The room we stayed in was another flight of stairs up from the main floor of the inn. While we didn't have a problem with this, someone with limited mobility should inform them when reserving, to ensure you are not allocated a room on that floor. All the other rooms are accessed by an elevator. The hallways are quite narrow, which could be challenging with a wheelchair. Our room had a skylight that could be opened, but apart from that, there weren't any windows in our room. Not very important but if you are claustrophobic, you may want a different room.Lastly, this is a small detail, but it would be nice if the shower head had a pole for adjusting the height. It was the type that you can remove from the wall and use as hand-held, but the fixed bracket that holds it in place is quite high up, so if you don't want to wash your hair, it's a bit tricky. Evidently, the weekend we were there must have been a busy weekend in Madrid, as the rates everywhere were higher than normal, but we did feel that our rate for this inn was a bit too much for the type of hotel that it is. (We paid 145 a night; I think around 100 would have been more in line with the property characteristics). Overall, in spite of these details, it was a nice place in a fabulous location.

  : Suitable for a short stay in the city centre if needed; perhaps not great value for longer stays.
  : The bed was fine for one night, but might prove difficult for a longer stay if you're as tall as I am.
