  : The villa is located outside of Makarska, on a hillside. It's a quiet area and the view from the terrace of the house across the Adriatic sea is amazing. There are lots of olive trees in the garden, lavender and other nice flowers. The garden is pretty spacious, so it's great if you come with your dog. The pool is mid size to small, so it's best for kids or just hanging out on a hot day, but not for an adult wanting to do a lot of swimming necessarily. The house is spacious - at the ground level they have a bedroom, one bathroom and a living room; underground they have another bedroom, bathroom and a living room with an open kitchen. In the back of the house there's an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue area and two big sitting areas. Overall the house with the garden looks very nice. There's room for parking on premises for one car. We were nicely welcomed by the hosts with a fruit platter on the terrace. One of the hosts was also always available by phone to help us out with any issues - which we really appreciated.
  : The experience was very disappointing as soon as we noticed how worn out everything was. After the first day, the hot water boiler broke down and we didn't have hot water for most of our stay there. The outdoor shower next to the pool was not functioning properly and there were lots of wasps there. The clothes washing machine had rust on it, it was patched up with duck tape and the start button was missing. The underground level of the house had a bad smell. There are ants in the house and we got bitten badly one night in the upstairs bedroom. Some of the living room furniture was also pretty worn out. Overall it was not worth the amount of money they asked for. We left earlier than we wanted to. They said they would give us a partial refund, but we have not seen that come through.

  : Villa Tamaris is very beautiful, seaview is amazing. Manager Ante was very friendly and helped us with all our requests.
  : We think that this staying does not cost 250 EUR per night. It is very beautiful villa, but when I book villa for this amount I expect staying without worrying and wasting time. First there was no gas (unbelievable) and consequently no hot water. And we waited gas to be filled and could not make breakfast. Then the hot water boiler did not work and we could not take a shower. It was very uncomfy with 8-month-old baby. Then the gates were out of order and we should take care of that it wouldn't jump out of the rails. Finally the electricity goes down. Moreover, the boiler did not start every time it needs to, so we waste time waiting for it or making restart. I wouldn't call this comfort. In sun, we lost about a day of our vocation for these disasters. We asked manager and owner of Villa Tamaris for the discount, but he answered that "using of the wine cellar is a token of apology"; however the manager offered to use it fo free during our state. We used 3 bottles of wine and 2 bottles of bear. In our opinion this is not a kind of discount.
