  : Our apartment was great with a large balcony that overlooked the pool area and to the beach and sea beyond. The buffet breakfast was very good, with a selection of hot and cold food available every day. The location was quite quiet and right on the beach, which gives the option of swimming in the pool, or the sea. There were enough restaurants in walking distance, for a two week stay, so a car is not essential. There is a mini-market, about 100yds from Kostakis that sells most things you could possibly need and there is a Lidl about a mile or so to the east - if you are looking for a wider choice of foods, or keen to pay a bit less for your shopping! Our fridge was on its last legs and after a few days of persevering with it, we mentioned it to the receptionist and within an hour, we had a brand new fridge in position and working. This was typical of the service that we found from all of the staff we encountered - nothing was too much trouble. Our apartment was cleaned every day, except for the two Sundays we were there, and the sheets and towels seemed to get changed every couple of days. The pool is a good size and is kept very clean, with quite a number of sun loungers around it. There are fixed umbrellas and sun loungers on the beach in front of the resort, for which a charge of 2.50 Euros per person, per day is made. It seemed a bit unnecessary, to us, but those are the rules! The pool bar and restaurant were good and run by lovely staff. We ate there several times in the evenings and the food was very good. That gives you another option, if you don't fancy a stroll out, or if the weather isn't great and you just want to stay close by. It is a 10 minute walk to the main road that passes through the centre of Gerani, where there are bus stops for the regular public buses that go along the coast, to the east and west, including to Chania.

  : Breakfasts were varied in choice and plentiful. All staff friendly and helpful. View from our apartment (211) the best and shaded all day which was a bonus in the heat we experienced. Local supermarket stocked everything needed. Stoney beach kept crowds away
  : Could have done with a microwave as cooking facilities restrictive. No problem for us but perhaps a family with small children would need one. Everything else great.

  : The best thing is that we booked the hotel for only two nights (though I was seriously considering to move out immediately). The beach near hotel is not nice but it has some turtle nests on it (marked and fenced), which is an interesting to see (though, of course, this has nothing to do with the hotel).
  : We have booked "Studio with sea view" and the view was important criteria for the choice. We got a room with no sea view and zero privacy (see attached photos). The explanation was that architecture of the hotel is such that only a few rooms have a good sea view but they are all occupied and they are more expensive than the one I paid for (no kidding, this is what I was told even I had clearly stated "sea view" in the booked room description). After pointing to the discrepancy, I got an offer to move into a room one floor above our on the next day, after people occupying it would leave. I guess the manager might think that it is a great business idea to place people in the worst rooms and if they complain, offer them to move to a slightly better room when it would eventually be available. Some people, obviosly, would not want to waste a day of vacation on waiting and paking/unpacking suitcases. I think this a scam. No appologies were made, no compensation offered. I would like to emphisize, that some people may actually appreciate such barrier free room. For example, it may be a good choice for a person in wheel chair or for a family with toddler(s). But this should be clearly and honestly described. Garden or pool view would be an honest description but "sea view" is a lie.

  : great location to visit beaches on the west side like balos and to reach Chania for an evening stroll and dinner. good facilities for families with kids. property has all necessary facilities. nice to eat breakfast with a beautiful view of the sea. restaurant with big menu right on the property.
  : the beds are made poorly: twin bed sheets put on a queen sized bed. the ceiling in bathroom was leaking. they came to repair it but they left pieces of broken cement on the ground. there are few places to eat walking distance from the property. no small cute town to walk around. 2 sun beds and umbrella on the beach costs 5. beach rocky.
