  : I liked the location of this property, very close walking distance from Mechelen-Nekkerspoel. Therefore quite easy (and early) train options to reach Brussels Airport (BRU). Walking distance to old city centre with beautiful square and some (beer) cafes and restaurants, shops. Check-in guy, a Filipino, was friendly and accommodating, plentiful information available and in for a casual chat too. Room size is large, and the premises are a quite lay-out. It's not a hotel, also common public is living there in this building.
  : First of all, after booking this place, you'll be SPAMMED with way too many messages and mails! The 'hotel' says they only want to achieve a most relaxing stay at their accommodation, the ridiculous amount of messages make it actually pretty stupid. I do travel 100+ nights a year in hotels and never experienced this insane amount. It's not even a typical Belgium thing...but really annoying and weird. They ask (too much) private information too in separate channels, which is no need to provide. I'm sure they will spam you later with lots of messages. Be warned. The bathroom in the room is old. No hooks to hang something, like a towel or clothes. Mould on the ceiling. Lighting is insufficient and well, it's just doing the job, nothing more. Room itself is acceptable , it's large in size and all necessities are available. Nothing more. Just a basic and acceptable stay.
