Holiday Inn - Memphis Downtown - Beale St. an IHG Hotel

  : good location although still 2 blocks walk to beale street even title of hotel says beale street, staff seemed friendly and hotel seemed safe
  : parking is expensive especially only having valet only and $27 per day and because of that was a long process to bring car in waiting for someone where one time i sat there nearly 30 mins as was a jam of people checking in and a blockage of cars trying to get in, didnt get our room serviced any days then to be told at check out we had to request it which is ridiculous and terrible communication, got to breakfast the first day and then tried to charge us but we had breakfast included in which was meant to have coupons giving to me but didnt. breakfast one day was pick from a menu and breakfast the next day was buffet. couldnt shower the first day as was no cold water, water was boiling no matter what we did even after leaving run for 30 mins then when i went to call staff the phone didnt work in the room, walked downstairs and they said would get it fixed, heard nothing. went next day downstairs and another person there and knew nothing about and said would get fixed but nothing, luckily finally worked next night. room keys stopped working twice. no one seemed to care about all our issues and still had to pay costs like parking etc. i was told i would hear back from the manager but nothing. I particularly picked this hotel because it was close, seemed like a nice fancy hotel in the city but i wish i stayed elsewhere for half the cost. overall a terrible hotel. i stayed at 6 hotel in 3 weeks while in usa and this was the fanciest and most expensive however was the worst experience of them all

  : 1st thing is they tried to charge me $100 without my knowledge . 2 I wasn’t aware of any extra fees such as $50deposit each night you stay . The TV wasn’t working! The air definitely didn’t work . The tubs were NASTY! Found a few baby roaches in the tub . The elevators wasn’t working as well HORRIBLE STAY 1/10 LITERALLY!

  : The hotel needed a good clean. Carpets throughout were stained. The girl on the ftont desk was rude and needs a new uniform. The cleaner checked to service our room at 8.30. We said we'd be half an hour. We left at 9 and tiold cleaner room now available. On our return at 3pm it had not been serviced. The car valet guys were great. This hotel was only slightly cheaper than The Peabody across the road and there is just no comparison between the 2.
