  : Beautiful house with lots of character. Situated a couple of mins from town (up hill if arriving). Very clean, quirky and I had a very relaxing short stay.
  : Location was good, house had character and didn't feel like you were staying in a hotel, guest house or rather like at a friends.

  : The directions to the accommodation were clear and helpful, and when I had difficulty figuring out the shower, my message was responded to quickly. The rooms had been cleaned very well and the kitchen and bathroom facilities were excellent (apart from having to chip away the ice from the icebox at the top of the refrigerator in order to close the door of the icebox after I had put my food in it that I had bought with me). The bed was comfortable and the bedding fresh and ironed. The room was pleasant with a heating system so I could change the temperature as I liked, which was much appreciated. The location was fine for my hiking weekend in the Brecon Beacons - it was a quiet location, so I slept well.
  : The property uses plug-in air fresheners which are very strong and very bad for you to breathe in all those chemicals, so upon arrival, I had to open the windows and turn off the air freshener to get rid of the smell, which was overwhelming. Before arrival, there was far too much communication from the accommodation. I received six emails over four days, and these also came through as messages from Booking.com which were also sent by email, meaning that I received over twelve emails within four days. The emails told me about things to do in the area, another told me about an 80-minute scenic drive, others told me about the recycling etc. Most of these things could have been left as information in the kitchen and rooms, thereby reducing the quantities of emails sent to the customer. As I work from home, the additional daily emails was not welcome. Even when I was at the property, the emails didn't stop because an email (and a doubled up message from Booking.com) came through asking me to post on Facebook about what I was doing while I was there. The amount of communication made me feel hassled - I would prefer to book accommodation, receive one confirmation and some helpful information about directions, keys etc, and then be left alone until I arrive. The most confusing aspect of the booking was that when you book on Booking.com, there is a gallery of photos provided and so you don't actually know which room you have booked until you have made the booking and you receive an email with a tiny picture of the room or studio you've actually booked. I had to call up to find out. I think this needs to be sorted out so that there is a clear image of ONLY the room or studio you are booking, rather than a whole gallery of every room and studio. The studio I booked had a separate bathroom and kitchen across the landing - I would have preferred these to have been lockable from the outside so that they felt private to leave belongings in.
