  : The uniqueness of the well kept old building and surroundings. I could feel the effort of the owners trying to keep things attractive. Though most of the facilities and furniture must be old, you feel them rather well aged than worn out. Plus, the room was very spacious, and well lighted in the day. The owners were friendly and helpful too! You have to decided for your breakfast option a day before, and it was worth to try. In general very good value stay.
  : I found that the water tasted metallic, and I can't say it was pleasant. Also water pressure in the shower is pretty weak though it was OK to use. As it is an old building, the power outlets are old Italian style, might be helpful to have an adopter. Wifi in our room was not very stable, and few devices failed to be connected. The owner kept our ID during stay which is, I would say, unusual for nowadays. Lastly, There's only one restaurant in walking distance so if you want to enjoy wine until feeling tipsy, the choice is limited. There are however some decent restaurants nearby easily reachable by car.

  : Rooms were perfect, great size, confortable beds, modern bathroom and everything was clean. breakfast was very nice and the owners were very helpfull, kind and frindly. A place to come back. Although there is no air conditioning it is no necessary.

  : Lovely and helpful staff, beautiful building and garden, excellent breakfast!
  : Not a fault with the place - but note that if youre arriving by train its a bit of an uphill walk.

  : We got a very warm welcome from the hosts and it made us feel at home. For us this is what made or stay so much better. The hotel is a beautifully renovated old village house with an internal courtyard garden. The rooms are large and designed with thought. We enjoyed the big pool and Jacuzzi in the yard and even got some Lambrusco as an extra.
  : The weather was very hot, and we really missed air conditioning, the host offered a fan. At night we slept with windows open, and closed them when the sun came up. A small fridge to keep some cold drinks would be great too.

  : The room we had was a good size and very quiet. We were able to keep our bicycles off the street and out of the weather. A pool was very welcome at the end of a hot day, and the verandah/balcony was shady and cool in the evening. Our hosts were friendly and we were greeted on arrival by a very friendly labrador. We chose not to have the breakfast, but did have a coffee and a cup of tea in the garden before setting off,
  : We are cycle touring, and the climb from Orta San Giulio to Miasino at the end of the day was a bit of a slog - short but steep.

  : The owners were very helpful and kind. The historic building and town are special. Breakfast not cheap but very nice.
  : The parking. But the whole vicinity of Orta has a parking problem.
