  : The accommodation was stylish and unique and serves as a good place to stay if tou are visiting the Medoc region to explore the vineyards or for visiting Bordeaux like we did.
  : We were surprised that latest check in was 17:00 but when we rang found this could be 19;00 as long as we didn't want to join a tour which suited our arrangements well.

  : The location is nice but you can see that the Chateau is not really up to date with the facilities. No AC. it does need painting and updating and a better breakfast setup. The overall feeling is that the people running the shop and the cellar tours are "forced" to take care of lodging. At Maucaillou they make great wine but for the administration of the hospitality part they should decide to totally separate it or close it altogether to the general public and just market it for special events.
  : An EV charging station next to the shop is simply a must these days.

  : Beautiful building
  : The room was small and overlooked the railway track. The bedroom furnishings are very dated. We did not like the idea of 10 people being forced to have breakfast together around one small table in a confined room.We also question the sense of this, mindful of ongoing Covid..

  : Rare opportunity to stay at a working chateau. We were excellently looked after by the highly professional team and the museum and winery tour was very interesting. We were a group of 10 which fitted the dining room perfectly and were well fed by Cedric. The traditional style rooms belong to another age - but thats the point, and the atmosphere and pleasant grounds more than compensated for any lack of modern glitz. Breakfast was just right to set us on our way. A memorable Medoc experience.
