  : Very friendly staff and were very helpful with taking bags to the top floor room ( as no lift).. also provided a jug of milk for morning tea in our room. Also very polite and helpful with organising a taxi to the airport and a cheery disposition. What a fabulous city and lots to see , plus it feels like a friendly and safe place! The hotel is in a fab location and very walkable to all places of interest and some lovely restaurants.
  : Breakfast was a little lacking in choice (for 13 each) and quite basic. Would have been lovely to offer a selection of fruits rather than just apple or banana. There was a selection of "extras" such as eggs in a variety of ways eg omlette' scrambled or boiled , but perhaps offering eggs benefict or scrambled with salmon or something french ? The tables weren't cleared until everyone left the breakfast room which meant that plates were stacked up! We had a room on the top floor with a deep bath with a shower /tap attachment- would have preferred and expected a shower. I had a bad back so found it difficult to get in and out of the bath, and also not to flood the bathroom floor with water! But on a positive note it was nicely decorated and we had a comfortable bed.

  : Small friendly hotel. The location is excellent for access to all main points of interest in the heart of the city and close to many good restaurants. The room was a good size and had an atmosphere in keeping with its location in the old town. The decoration was in keeping with the historic nature of the building. A good selection was available for breakfast with personal service from the staff and good value
  : The bathroom was small though adequate There is no lift but the rooms are on just 2 floors up a wide staircase.

  : The location of the hotel is excellent. The room size and bathroom were large and clean and the bed was very comfy.
  : The flights of stairs!! There isn't a lift in the hotel (the property is very old) and it doesn't say this on the website. We are both in our 70's and when we arrived we were helped up the four flights of stairs with our (very) large and (very) heavy suitcase. But on the day we left, there was no one around to help us down with the suitcase.

  : Quirky, fun property in an excellent location. Would definitely consider staying there again.
  : Some confusion over breakfast. Asked the night before about what we wanted. Informed staff on two occasions on that night and following morning, e.g. re eggs, bacon, etc. was told this was fine, but only cold buffet appeared.
