  : The staff are all wonderfully friendly and helpful. The water station in the lobby with cold, cool, and hot water with teas and flavorings was a wonderful feature, plus some tempting little pieces of cake on offer. We appreciated the invitation to help the environment by filling the provided glass bottle with drinking water, using our towels twice, and the unbleached-but-soft toilet paper. Breakfast was a great buffet in a charming basement dining room, well worth the additional charge. Our room turned out to be a sort of suite with extra beds and many pillows. Luggage storage during a day trip was also very welcome.
  : Summer travellers should be warned that this is a very old building and there is no air-conditioning in the rooms. We were fortunate to arrive just as a cold front and thunderstorm came through, and there was a fan in the room which helped bring in the cooler air. The street is being repaved, and the entrance to the hotel is not immediately obvious.
