  : I booked the Barn for family who were visiting and wanted somewhere very local. We loved the place, the atmosphere and the facilities.
  : The mattresses were a bit uncomfortable and could do with updating.

  : The staff were very professional and helpful. I loved the atmosphere of the place, very friendly and welcoming.
  : Not informed that on a Mon and Tues the hotel stops doing food at 2pm and the bar is only open to 6pm. The hotel also allows dogs which they don't tell you about and that's what ruined our stay. Don't get me wrong we are dog lovers and have a dog ourselves but we didn't expect one to keep us up barking most of the night. We were in room 2 and the dog was next door in room 1, it barked non stop from 1250am to 2:20 am, that was when we decided enough was enough and packed up and left 8 hrs before we were due to leave. So in a nutshell I paid for a 2 night stay and got 1 full night and a half, so not entirely happy.

  : The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated although the added little touches of battery operated candle lights didn't work.The young lady who checked us in was very friendly.
  : We found it ridiculous that a hotel with paying guests shut the bar at 9pm. Having ordered a taxi back from our fabulous meal out, in order to finish our night away with a nightcap, we couldn't believe the bar was shut.so early!The breakfast was only a small buffet style continental breakfast, we expected more for £130; and then, for the mrmber of staff on duty to laugh about forgetting the croissants were in the oven so they were a "little dark brown" was unacceptable- if you've burnt the food, surely it shouldn't be served!The bed was incredibly low to the ground - with a disability, this proved pretty hard to manage although, to be fair the hotel didn't know that.However my husband is not disabled and he struggled to get up in the morning too!
