  : The location was great. The pool was awesome to cool down. The staff were all very nice. Our room was underwhelming however. The vents were filthy..which explains why the air conditioning wasn’t working very well…I asked to upgrade to a balcony room in which they said would be an extra $40/night. I got to the balcony room only to find that the balcony doors are nailed shut and non-functional. I learned from another staff person later that all the balconies on the 3rd floor are like this. I did dispute the extra charges as I thought it was deceiving. Waiting to hear from hotel manager. Otherwise, the stay was fine. Bed was comfortable and linens were clean but the rooms definitely need upgrading. My friend got a room in the carriage house and it was absolutely beautiful, nicely upgraded and clean…so perhaps we were just unlucky.
