  : We stood outside for about 4 minutes not knowing what to do until someone came.There were far greater problems however, for one thing the shower curtain in the shower absolutely refused to stay up, and we had to keep putting it up and finally just put it in the closet. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, the mattresses were very old. The most significant thing was when we came back to stay the second night, there was a vacate order on the building entrance and a statement that we would be arrested if we went into the building. Since all of our stuff was actually in the apartment, we had to go into the apartment and take the risk of being arrested in order to gather up our stuff, and frantically tried to find someplace else to stay the second night. We’ve called the people through whom we booked,
  : The place definitely needs a new fully installed shower curtain and new mattresses. And somebody needs to be aware of other things going on in the building that will prevent customers from being able to enter their property. Additionally, I have to add, that there is a big sign in the downstairs lobby indicating that short term rentals in that building are illegal. This was clearly a short term rental.

  : I had a 2wk stay. Location was perfect. The greeter reached out the night before, was very flexible with meeting me day of, and was prompt with the keys. When I said there were too few towels, he delivered plenty extra and encouraged me to call any time if needed. The place was clean. Included a small washer/dryer combo. There was a brief incident with a few nat like bugs that appeared to come in around the A/C window unit after a rain. A service guy came right away to seal the window and that solved it. The building was very safe and quiet. The area was Hell's Kitchen. I was was nice. Right down the block from the train station, walking distance to the heart of Times Sq and also to uptown. Plenty of eaterys, and store fronts.
  : 1) There was no advance notice that there is no elevator. We were on the 5th floor with heavy luggage. Luckily, we didn't have physical limitations. 2) The "similar to" photo on the booking site, to give an idea, was totally deceiving. The photo showed a room with a sofa giving the impression there would be a room with such. The actual property was two small bedrooms, a galley kitchen and a bathroom. NO living room. No space for a table to eat. No nightstand or even a TV tray to assist with holding any items outside of the bed. So, you had to eat in bed and any items such as phones or computers had to lay on the bed with you at all times. One of the rooms had a small dresser but it held a TV and had no closet. The other room was a bed with a closet but no dresser. Manhattan is pricey for small spaces but for the price I would have liked an elevator, sofa area, and a table.3) I didn't have the best experience prior to my visit. I had questions and could only communicate via email or IM only. I was required to sign a 30 day lease even though my stay was 2wks. I was told it was general but I think it should be customized to the visit. In the end, I was only responsible for the 2wks.

  : It was good enough, if you’re looking to save some money this is the place, I was able to make breakfast and dinner in the apartment thanks to the kitchen included, the location was great. The host was kind. The apartment was nice. I enjoyed my staying there
  : We had to wait to like 1 hour for the apartment be ready to check in, but the host let us in to keep our baggage
