  : If you are expecting to find a hotel on a par with hotel Llorenc del Mar or the Calatrava hotel you will probably be disappointed. The Nakar is very overpriced and underwhelming on lots of fronts. The good stuff: The front desk: Staff on the front desk are easy to engage, friendly and helpful. Sleep quality: The beds and bedding are great and the rooms are quiet so its easy to get a good nights sleep. The bathrooms: The showers are great as are the products provided. Location: The hotel is situated in a fantastic location with easy access to the old town.
  : Hotel ambience: None at all. The hotel feels and looks like a Spanish bank. No music or lovely scents floating about. It has lots of awkward and un-inviting spaces. Hotel layout: Theres virtually zero common space other than next to the pool and as you move around the building you feel like you are in an office rather than a hotel.The rooms: We stayed in a Deluxe double room with spa and patio at the beginning of October. The room cost 650 for two nights. The room we stayed in was well appointed but it was also very small and an awkward shape so not easy to move around in. The toilet and shower are in the same room as the bed so getting a bit of privacy when you are using either of them is not an option. The overall finish of the room was basic with lots of MDF now showing lots of signs of wear and tear. The staff: The staff we encountered beyond the front desk were miserable and not guest orientated at all. We noted this particularly in the hotel restaurant where the staff are more interested in socialising with each other than serving guests.The breakfast: The food available for breakfast was pretty good. There wasnt a lot of it though and it lacked variety. Hot drinks were self service from a machine and particularly good. The pool: One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because of the rooftop infinity pool which was the biggest anticlimax. Whilst it does have breathtaking views, the pool looks nothing like the photos.Overall, this was an excellent incredibly disappointing stay and probably the worst value for money weve ever experienced.

  : The staff were very friendly from reception to the restaurant at breakfast. The roof top terrace and pool is such a lovely facility. We visited in November and enjoyed relaxing on the loungers and taking in the view. Selection at breakfast was limited but food was of good quality. The location is excellent. Room cleaned very well every day.
