  : They had a lobby bar but not really , no one serving and no ice! No air conditioning available in our room, had to leave window open. Maid service- only fresh towels , made beds up BUT no toilet paper and no refill of bottle water!!

  : The location remains fantastic and the hotel has an authentic charm, although an update/refresh might become needed.
  : The main waiter for the breakfast has redefined unfriendly for us. It was amusing to greet him in the most happy way just to see him cringe and swallow his bile before finally excreting a kind of bonjour in return. Ive been to this hotel a number of times in the past and generally the staff is superb- its a bit unfortunate i probably wont go back because of that one person.

  : Excellent location. Very good breakfast. Room was small but very well laid out with plenty of storage space. Staff very friendly & helpful. When we arrived, room was ready. The safe was not working, but was replaced immediately when we highlighted this.

  : The location is excellent for the Latin Quartier and access to transport, tourist sites, cafs and restaurants. On the fifth floor was a great view and little balcony which was delightful though the room was small. Nice deep bath and all amenities.
  : The hotel seemed to be there in spite of itself - the oldy-worldy feel of its Scottish theme overlapped with a tiredness and lack of care. The pool table and wood-panelled bar in the entrance was a tasteful touch but there was never anyone behind it serving drinks. The staff in general were unsmiling and guest requests seemed like an effort - when I said the coffee machine in my room was leaking, I was told I'd probably broken it, and I overheard a woman who'd asked for a table to be cleared at breakfast so she could sit down, 'Why can't you sit somewhere else?' (But maybe this is the rude Paris we hear about!) Breakfast was underwhelming: two rooms in a windowless basement with horrible machine coffee though ample fresh bread and patisseries, option to boil eggs, yoghurts and cereals.
