  : Excellent views from the flat over Porthminster beach and towards St Ives harbour/beach. Very quiet.Near the coastal walk path, and easy walk to Carbis bay and Lelant.Near rail station and bus station, so good links to Hayle and Penzance.Easy 10-15 minute walk to St Ives.

  : The location is stunning. The views are incredible and it's a few minutes walk down to the beach, but being just out of the town centre it's much more quiet than you'd think. The bed was amazingly comfortable so we slept really well.
  : Some weird things were missing, like a bath mat (we ended up using a towel...) and they give you instructions for a dishwasher even though there isn't one. We also couldn't figure out how to use the TV (neither of us use Chromecast) so good thing I brought my laptop for the rainy days when we just wanted to relax and watch TV. We tried to plug it into the TV with the HDMI cable but that didn't work either. Also the shower makes this very loud noise while it's running, it sounds like someone's using a drill. You can't use it while anyone is trying to sleep. On the last night we tried to run a bath in the light-up-jacuzzi-bath they make such a fuss about, but there was only enough hot water to fill it about a third. We called Sykes, who promised to ring us back and didn't, then the owner messaged us saying that the plumber couldn't come out and what did we want to do because it was our last night anyway. Which really annoyed me because we paid as much for the last night as any other night. After we left I missed a call from Sykes and rung them back, spent nearly an hour on hold only to be told once again that they'd talk to the owner and get back to us about it, and here I am, exactly 0 calls later. We had a great time - mostly due to the location and the fact that St Ives is a fantastic place - but Sykes customer service really let it down. I'm glad something only went wrong at the end of the stay, if it had been earlier I wouldn't trust them to put it right.

  : Good location - a bit further into town but not too far and quiet. The view was great and kitchen reasonably stocked. Bedrooms and sofa were comfortable.
  : It was annoying not having a smart tv so we couldnt watch anything on catchup or even stream from another device. Seems like it wouldnt be hard to do! Some of the decor/furniture was a bit cheap. Some of the laminate flooring was a bit distorted and the table and chairs were rather flimsy. It was a bit annoying not to have somewhere outside to leave wet things from the beach but we should have realised that ahead of time.

  : Fantastic view, warm and comfortable. Perfect for our needs.
  : Really small thing but the info pack arrived as a Google doc. I hadnt opened before arrival. With not much reception without wifi I couldnt open the doc when we arrived the doc that included the wifi info! All ok as we found the router and found the code off of that - but it would be a great idea to have the wifi password more visible on arrival. Otherwise a great stay. Also for those worried about turning the car round.. we have a VW camper and managed fine!
