: This was my second time at the hotel and again I was very impressed. We came for my sisters bday celebration. The staff were lovely, humorous and personal. Special mention to Miche (waiter, bar man, receptionist) and just an all round lovely person. And also to Eileen (guest relations) for being so friendly and hospitable. Very uplifting, especially first thing on a Monday morning! We had a lovely spacious room, with comfortable bed and fantastic bathroom.
: Felt the staff were under a bit of pressure as there only seemed to be 3 on for the full place, not sure if this was down to sickness etc. But they coped well considering the amount of people dining/ staying in the hotel.

: Everything was lovely and very restful. The decor was not only tasteful but looked very fresh and it was all thoughtfully thought through.
: I think that my only criticism was with the menu for the evening meal. I do strongly object for paying extra for a vegetable and for potatoes of one sort or another. I think it is very outdated and anyway how much does a piece of cauliflower cost or a few chips? I think it was a big mistake ..otherwise it was a lovely meal.

: We had a fabulous room, huge bay window, comfy chairs and a huge bed that was so comfortable. Slept well every night. The bathroom was huge too with biggest bath I've ever been in. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming.
: The food was so disappointing, not great spread of choices for my taste and the prices! Is it the 'Gleneagles is up the road' influence? I don't know but my medium fillet steak at 39(!) was more like rare but worse it was sinewy and tough in the middle, inedible. My OH's mussels were tiny and tasteless. To be fair they refunded my steak but it put us off eating there the remaining 2 nights and probably means we wouldn't stay again which is such a shame as everything else was great. Can recommend Caf Kisa in the town and KBs Italian in nearby Crieff for eating out. Better food at half the price. Breakfasts were good though, so maybe we were just unlucky with our 2 evening meals.
