  : Comfortable, well-organised, clean, very well-equipped, slightly quirky first floor flat in a converted old schoolhouse above a cafe. The village was very pretty and the location very convenient for exploring the central region of the North York Moors and with easy access to the east and west extremities and the coast.
  : As it happens the actual location is on the roadside of a popular route that runs from the south (Malton) directly across the Moors to Castleton and the northern extremities. Moreover, a road junction opposite takes traffic to and from a couple of nearby villages and beyond them across the eastern Moors. A road off to the west goes to other villages. Surprisingly in mid-November there was a lot of traffic fairly constantly throughout the day which comprised delivery vehicles and farm vehicles as well as locals plus a few tourists. In the season it must be exceptionally busy. Parking in front of the flat was difficult and a hard turn off the road (the car's rear end was just on the yellow line). Access to the flat via a side pathway and gate was tight and a struggle with bags, etc.
