Disappointing

  : While your hotel is very lovely we encountered some issues upon our stay in which I wish I could have given a five start rating.When we arrived we were needing to wait for quite some time to check in and receive our cards to our room, which was relayed that it was a full house and staff was attentive to else where, we expressed at the time that we understood.Once we arrived to our room it had a slight odor to describe best, rotting meat? The room was very warm. We proceeded to turn the air conditioning to a low setting, changed and carried on our way.We came back to our room around 11:00 pm. The room was still warm at 75 degrees. We had our child with us and at this point we needed him to just go to sleep for a very busy day to follow therefore we had him sleep in undergarments as for my husband and I as well. The temperature made it extremely difficult to get comfortable to sleep. To say the least no one slept well.I went to grab a water when I woke up to find the closet in which the refrigerator was in, was extremely hot and noticed my water was warm. The food and drinks that we had were all now gone to waste. I am glad we did not have anything in of importance in there as I originally considered brining a cake to celebrate a birthday.We had a very long 5 hour road trip back to home and this had a huge damper on our drive.I am not one to complain and am very easy going. I just am very disappointed in our stay and I took months of planning and picked this hotel of others for many reasons after researching.

  : A special note on how polite and friendly the guys at the valet service were. The building has an outstanding architecture and the room deco is amazing.

  : Room needs attention. Bed had a metal piece of the frame sticking out, that was dangerously sharp. The tile in the bathroom needs attention. Rm 1012

  : The food was average (we ordered dinner and breakfast). Service was slow both for room service and at the restaurant (The Rebel Room).
