  : The view from the rooms is spectacular. It is close to Pollonia by car, and a short ten minute walk along the beach. It was peaceful and felt like a true holiday experience.
  : A few extra facilities in the kitchen, maybe a sharper knife for cutting and potentially a microwave. It was still great having a kitchen though.

  : The place was basic but perfectly fine for a few days. It was impeccably clean, which is the most important thing. The maids came in everyday to clean, and changed linens & towels every second day. The view is amazing, truly beautiful. The hosts were commutative and accommodating.
  : The mattress was a little hard; this might be a problem depending on your sleep preferences. A few basic things were missing like spatulas, beach towels, the shower head fixture was broken a few things that would be simple for the host to provide/fix. The walls are paper thin - we could hear the neighbour's "bodily functions" in the bathroom, including throwing up at 7 am. Lastly, the location. There is literally nothing around, so if you want water, food, restaurants, basically anything, you have to take a 10-15 minutes trek on an unmarked and unlit path by the beach, with difficult passages in a few places. I can imagine someone thats less agile or wearing flip flops easily getting hurt. Also, it was pitch black at night with no one around (we had to walk with our phone flashlights), it felt a little unsafe.

  : The room was very nice. Very clean and new. It had the kitchenette and a place to hang clothes. I was here at this property for 7 nights. The view was nice and the AC worked great. The bed was the most comfortable mattress I Have ever slept on in my life. I wanted to take it home. I think I was the first person to stay there. There were outlets everywhere for charging electronics. The lighting was very nice and looked like candles in the room and bathroom. The shower and bathroom as a whole were both beautiful and functional. When I would message for help (the stove top was tricky for me, I needed an umbrella on my patio, I couldnt get my key out of the door and the TV was not set up, they promptly sent someone to help. Athene, the lady who cleaned my room was such a beautiful soul! I was so happy to see her and she was always helpful and encouraging. And cleaned my room daily.
  : It was isolated and was an 8-10 minute walk on the beach, over limestone outcroppings, through a short woods and then through a concrete parking lot to get to town. Otherwise it was a 20+ minute walk on a dusty uneven road with no shade and some fast traffic in parts. At night both ways were dicey. Having a car would help but Im a nature lover so I didnt mind. But on a moonless night you would need a flashlight. Definitely not for someone with mobility issues without a car. This town is very small and not at all what was described in the guide book I had. Ive seen to 6 or more other islands, some for a week at a time and this was my least favorite. Prices were $o much higher than even Mykonos where I stayed a few weeks earlier. The town is a jumble of new rental condos and it does not have a fishing village flavor as advertised. There are just a few restaurants and as I said, the prices are 10-30% higher than Mykonos, Naxos, and Amorgos where I stayed this trip. This room was much more expensive too, and for the location it was overpriced. This island is also pretty barren, which makes it hotter. There is very little vegetation. There are some great things to do like see the Venus de Milo, the Roman theatre and the catacombs (an 8 minute uninspiring tour that the guide book did get right), but the other islands have similar archeological wonders.

  : Although the description of the apartment clearly states that it is 1.5 kms from the village centre, we had forgotten, and were at first a bit upset about it. However, we soon came to realise that, in fact, it's probably the best location! We really enjoyed the 10 to 15-minute stroll along the shore to reach the village, though there are a couple of tricky places if you are not very agile, and if you are coming back after dark, you need to use the torch on your phone. The apartment itself (n 3) is very light, and spacious and kept spotless by the cleaner who comes daily. We found the bed comfortable, (though the pillows were a bit too high and firm for our liking) and there is adequate wardrobe and drawer space. Beach towels are also provided. There are beautiful views from the balcony, where it is wonderfully breezy, too. The balcony is equipped with a round table and 2 chairs, and is the ideal place to have dinner in the evening. It also has a washing line and a sun umbrella. The kitchen is basic, but perfectly adequate with a table and 2 chairs, a fridge, a kettle, and pots and pans etc. We didn't cook at all, so can't comment on how well the electric hob works. The staff at "Travel Me to Milos", who manage the apartments, are friendly, extremely helpful, and seem to be available at all hours on WhatApp!
  : The shower stall needs a shower curtain of some kind, as it is is impossible not to flood the bathroom floor when showering, and unfortunately there is no mop and bucket available to mop up after you. On Milos, and apparently in the whole of Greece, you can't flush toilet paper. You have to leave it in the bin provided for that purpose; if not, you risk blocking the drains. Note that it's NOT just at this apartment, but it did take us by surprise.
