  : Very close to the castle of Poppi and one of the main squares, with a super nice bar. Great view of the surrounding area and the Tuscan mountains. We had dinner there, in the garden, and the food was amazing.

  : The location
  : Apart from its location. The hotel had some old furniture etc in the common area. But the rooms were very dated. We booekd 3 rooms. 1 double ... this rooms was very small with double bed. Very tiny window so it felt very dark. Bathroom you have to be slim as it was again very small. I had to asked to change the room, which they honoured and it was a standard bedroom. 2nd room was with twin bed. Again very small. I asked for this to be changed which they advised not possible. 3rd room single. No complaints... Temp in Poppi was in 30s during the day and at night it was in mid 20s. And yet hotel did not have any AC or any standalone fan or celing fan for the rooms. I was told it will get cooler in the night. If i keep the window open. But the changed room was overlooking the road below. That gets so noisy from people walking and talking loudly or vehicle noise well in to past midnight and early hours of the next morning. I hardly slept more than 2 hours during the night we stayed. As for the Resturant. On our first night we were looking forward to having a authentic Italian food. What a disapointment that was too. They had a functions booked so we could not have table in the garden. That was ok. The food we ordered was very cold. Only one person serving inside the resturant so food took long time to arrive. I was very disppointed with my stay in Poppi. May be i am very hard to please...
