  : After reading some of the reviews, I was apprehensive about this stay - but there was no need to be. Our villa (right at the top of the residence) was very nice, clean and comfortable with everything needed for a self-catering stay (including washing machine, dishwasher, oven and a very well equipped kitchen). Air-conditioning throughout. Wifi worked fine. Parking spot in front of the villa. The balcony was the highlight with a fantastic view and nicely furnished. Well maintained, security coded residence with attractive gardens, a clean pool and pathway to the beach below. Our welcome was very friendly and helpful, especially since our flight was delayed until late evening so the sheets and towels were left in the villa.
  : Incredibly uncomfortable, cheap pillows and some stains on the mattresses and bedcovers (which we only fully noticed when we stripped the beds before leaving). As others have mentioned, the walk back from the beach is quite steep. We also had an ant problem, but we were promptly provided with spray to keep them at bay. Nothing to do with the residence, but on some evenings, the late-night noise from the beach bars was quite loud. Also, in July, Santa Giulia bay is nice to look at from afar, but a disappointment in reality. Far nicer, cleaner and quieter beaches a little drive up the coast.
