  : I like That the hotel has had a recent upgrade. The renovations were sorely needed.
  : Already Just a few years after the renovation, it is already starting to deteriorate. From my window at night, I could see the homeless activity outback rummaging through dumpsters and garbage cans. Fortunately I didnt notice any of the customers cars being targeted, but Im sure that can happen in probably does. Also, theres just an overall feeling of not caring inside and outside of the hotel.

  : The rooms smelled like cigarettes, my curtains had cigarette burns on them and ashes in the windowsill. On the 5th floor and absolutely no screens on any of the windows! Felt very unsafe if a child were to be in the room. Very small rooms and even smaller bathrooms. There is only warm water, never got warmer in the shower than like warm. We used the bathroom downstairs in the lobby when checking in and there was no toilet paper, paper towels or seat covers. When reported to the front desk she said ok then continued to sit there. My mom used the bathroom the very next morning and nothing had been restocked. On top of all of this, my room cost over $100 more than I was guaranteed at booking. When I spoke to the front desk lady she said, Yes, your first night here was at $175.00 which is very high. Im not sure why. Youll have to call and talk to someone later. Even after showing her the emailed confirmation she said she couldnt do anything. I am very disappointed and for the price that I ended up paying I would have gladly stayed at The Hilton, which I could have afforded if I knew I was going to be out another $100! We travel to this area often for business and family, we will not be staying at La Quinta Hotels again!

  : Couldn't check in until 5pm.There was no hot water.Staff charged my card for the room even though it was pre-paid. I called 4x in the last 10 days and no one will reverse the charge on my card. Staff is extremely undertrained. Managers wont call me back.
