  : The host was great. It all went smoothly. The place was clean and smart. Everything worked and was well cared for
  : The road outside is noisy and it goes on all of the time. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the property for you. Getting to the final part of the property up the road has a small risk as you are walking towards a blind corner against the traffic. With children and baggage, I could imagine it being a little risky.

  : Very good location for our base, in order to visit different parts of the island. The property is surrounded by mountains and the fresh air in the morning is amazing.The house was very clean and we had everything we needed. Cree parking available all the time.The communication with the owner was very good.
  : There was an old house smell, but it was gone after keeping the door and windows open for a few minutes.

  : Excellent location in very middle of the island. Can go everywhere by car quicker. Popular tavern is 30m away, another bigger some hundred meters up. Great window view to opposite slope of the valley. Two floor apartment, with one stone wall, with fair amount of space, well planed, cosy spacious balcony space outside, full equipped kitchen. Not forgotten also small pleasant details, like fancy first aid kit, candles, cookies etc. Friendly helpful host. Parking space 20m away. Real supermarket 2km away down the road. If you came to Madeira for walking routes, lavadas, recommend to use high plateau in western part of island as a start, which is well reached from this location. Close proximity walking reutes: Lombo do Mouro lavada (start from plateau, 2,5km one way, easy, superb views, about 5km from apartment), possible to walk to Pico Ruivo from Encumenada (11km one way, hard, excellent views, starts in Encumenada crossroad about 4km from apartment uphill). Walkme android app with DETAILED offline walking maps is excelent guide, about 5EUR. Would come here again.
  : There is noticeable car noise from nearby street in morning hours, not critical. Night time is OK.
