  : need more pillows - only 2 in the double bedroom - found 2 cushions in the cupboard that we used. Would like a kettle. Asked if we could stay in apartment until 11am when our taxi was arriving- confirmed this was no problem. Doorbell went at 10:45am- opened to find a cleaner, a lady and family waiting to come in! We were told that we could wait but needed in to let it get cleaned and familys things would be left with us. Declined- not sure that family would have been happy leaving their things with strangers

  : The property location is great - open your window and across the road is the Vatican Wall. Alessandros communication was very good. Kitchen is well stocked (although only 2 spoons to go with four bowls) and the coffee machine made decent coffee. Beds were ok comfort wise, rooms decent sized although would not want to stay in the third single bedroom as there is no air conditioning unit, only a window, and in summer, that room would be stifling (see comments re air conditioning below).
  : Where to start? The property did not feel like it had been cleaned - the dish cloth (see photo) was left over used from someone else (yuck, a fresh one was provided on request) and there were opened potato crisps (see photo) in the cupboard from a previous guest (yuck again). We requested a tea towel three times and were never provided one. The coffee machine was not emptied out from the previous guest (big yuck). I would say there are no covid cleaning practices here now. The shower flooded the bathroom and hallway during first use and we had to mop this up and in the process used a bath towel and bath mat. Despite three requests, the bath towel was never replaced and we were forced to used hand towels. Alessandro responded quickly to fix the shower flooding (same day) but we didnt want to think about how this would have happened and why it has not been discovered earlier. The soap dispenser was empty and we were told soap was provided in the shower gel containers (you know the small ones you normally get in a hotel? Those ones, so why have a soap dispenser?). You cant get three warm showers out - the third shower ends up cold part way through, and thats with the first two showers only on warm, not hot (because it was too hot to have a hot shower). The air conditioning is inadequate and barely kept the room cool (and this during temperatures of 35 degrees plus), and the bedroom air conditioning unit is located in the hallway and although immediately outside the bedroom, you cannot get an air conditioner/heat pump to blow air down and backwards into another room. As a contrast, in other places we have stayed throughout France and Italy over five weeks, the air conditioning has been excellent, so this is the one exception to our experience.

  : Excellent location - few steps away from Vatican museums, few minutes to the St. Peters square. Bus, metro, taxi, groceries - all nearby. Spacious apartment, lots of natural light in the rooms. Good sound isolation from the street (when windows are close), between the apartments - not so good. Nice inner yard. Spacious closets - there were plenty of space to put all of our stuff away from eye sight. Lots of hangers - we could comfortably hang all of our cloths - very convenient. Impressive book collection, although we didn't have nor time or the energy to look into them :) Lots of clean towels were provided and bed sheets were nice as well. Really comfortable bed in the bedroom. The appliances in the apartment work really well - dishwasher, stove top, washing machine, coffee machine. Had to pass two gates to get to apartment, all locked - so felt really secure to leave our belonging. Nice and friendly host, gave us recommendation regarding the good restaurants - didn't disappoint. Air conditioner works well, but only in the hallway, so it doesn't really cool the bedroom. The one in the living room smelled weird, so we didn't use it.
  : Dirty dishes left in the apartment - probably from previous guest, with food stuck really hard to bowl and plates, not overlooked by cleaning staff. Water boiler is quite small, so the shower problem really exists. Was nearly impossible to shower properly for all a family of 4 and have the hot water not run out. I didn't like the quality of tap water (strong smell of chlorine), but that's probably not the apartment's problem. Internet connection speed was poor - not that you come to Rome to watch TV, but would have been nice to put on a movie on Netflix for kids without having to wait to buffer every few minutes. Cabinets without handles - not a problem for drawers, but the closet area in the kitchen and hallway was a bit annoying - the "push and pop-out" mechanism doesn't always work.

  : Great location, right beside the Vatican - about a 30 minute walk to the centre of Rome, or a short trip on the Metro, and plenty of restaurants and cafs just outside the building
  : There was a leak from the shower onto the floor of the bathroom, seems to have been there a while - other than that the apartment was great
