Rome as you feel - Piazza dei Satiri apartments

  : The apartment was one room with a small kitchen and a bath. It was bright and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the linens professionally cleaned. The apartment was located up just one flight of stairs.
  : The original description of the apartment on Bookings.com was confusing. I thought we were renting the apartment on the second floor which is much bigger. This smaller apartment only has one room for sleeping, eating, and relaxing (with only one comfy chair). Despite my initial disappointment, the apartment met our needs and we really enjoyed our stay. The proprietors could not have been more pleasant and helpful.

  : it is very well situated, right in the heart of Rome
  : Mainly, being there in the winter, I was cold - even with the heating on high pretty much all the time. (I also think during the winter it would be helpful to put down some rugs). There wasn't a toaster in the kitchen (as advertised) and I thought that the supply of toiletries left for five days was quite meagre. Also - given the standard of Italian terrestrial - sky tv would have been a bonus.

  : The apartment itself is in the middle of the old town - it is close to all important places. A 2-level apartment, spacious, well-equipped. Quiet neighborhood, close to bars and restaurants.
  : The windows overlook a neighboring house -> the apartment is quite dark (most of the time we had to use artificial lighting). Old and uncomfortable beds.

  : Electricity kept tripping when using kitchen facilities. Not enough plugs for using more than one kitchen appliances at the same time. Bed was not comfortable.

  : The service was very disgusting. The room was very small and not clean. The toilets were dirty. The water flow throughout the apartment was very weak and the air conditioner did not work (it was 7 degrees at the time). it was freezing cold and there was no air conditioner (shame on them!!) We tried to call them and send them messages about the air conditioner but they did not answer for a few hours. and when they finally did answer they argued that the air conditioner was working, seriously what's your problem?! didn't want to return the money and stopped answering us on the phone. Very shocking experiance, a truly nightmare. Do not go there for your own good!!

  : Everything about this property was great.Location was ideal and having a wish machine was a plus.
  : The beds! The mattress on the pull out couch was awful and about 2 thick and you roll into the middle of the bed. The 2nd floor bed mattress was just as bad. 2 twins pushed together and you roll into the middle. I would rate this property a 9 if the mattresses were better. Also the entrance to the building is on the side of a restaurant and where the restaurant keeps their garbage which has millions of flys and bugs flying around as you walk to your door next to their trash cans.
