Downtown St Augustine The Lincolnville Loft

  : This very small Modern/Traditional style cozy loft is in a good location. You can walk to downtown in 10 minutes. It has good parking. The loft was very clean. The small kitchen is fairly well equipped. It has lots of natural light and was quiet.
  : The bed is only a double and had no top sheet on the bed with just a small comforter the same width as the bed making it hard for two people to be comfortably covered. There was an extra small comforter folded under the TV so I used that one and my partner used the one that was provided on the bed. The bathroom is nice and has a huge tub however there is no shower, the tub has a shower wand but no shower curtain so I had to wash and rinse while sitting down so I wouldn't accidentally spray water on the walls or floor. The loft sleeping area has very little air-conditioning so it would be miserable in the middle of summer. They do provide fans but fans can not replace the comfort of air-conditioning. There is no place to hang or store your clothes. Also the stairs to the loft are very steep and difficult to use, especially coming down! I had very little contact with the owners just a couple text's back and forth. We stayed for two nights costing $516.45 per night after taxes and other fee's. It was Christmas weekend but still at that price it was very disappointing.

  : Location was fabulous, 10 minute walk to downtown. Property is cute as a button, very on trend, however that means its not usable or comfortable.
  : Bathroom:No shower - shower was a hand held, so we purchased a suction cup to be able to use the shower.Sink - beautiful but again not practical when brushing teeth. The sink tap sticks out the size of the sink bowl. There is also no space to sit toiletries.Toilet soap - clearly diluted as it was like water. We used our own shower gel to clean our hands.Loft/ Bedroom:Stairs to loft - omg, dangerously steep. We are fit and agile people but were terrified of the stairs. I have a us size 6.5 feet, my feet didnt fit on a single step. You either had to grab the handrail with 2 hands and slowly come down, or go down backwards.Tv - is located in the loft not the lounge, which means you need to navigate the stairs if you wish to watch TV. We had a laptop with us so watched it in the lounge.Bed - the most uncomfortable bed EVER. Cheap ikea wooden bed with the cheapest mattress 3 inch thick. We woke every morning sore and stiff.Storage - there is nil. Not a single drawer / cupboard to put ur clothes away. Thankfully I had a small case with me, which could be lifted to the loft. My husbands case remained in the lounge - we would not risk hurting ourselves with the dangerous steps.Kitchen:Pretty limited facilities, a few knives, forks and spoons but very little else. The plates were side plates size which is fine if staying for 1 night not 6! No microwave, only a small toaster oven and one pot hot plate! Lucky I brought some of my own appliances! No dishwasher. I had to purchase dinner plates and a cutting knife which I left for other people.Overall:Considering how much we paid for the loft, ($1700 plus $118 per fee for 6 nights), We would have expected much more convenience. We met another person who rents out properties in the same area for considerable amount less for double the size and equally trendy and functional. We were VERY disappointed with the property.
