  : Proximity to the center. Bathroom and kitchen are clean.
  : When I arrived in the area, there was no sign on how to get into the hostel. I looked at the address and figured that it's inside a compound. But when I went inside, I've spent about 30 minutes looking for the location or any signage of the hostel but all I can see is a nearby hotel. I have to send a message to booking.com for them to let them know that I cannot find the exact location. Though they have responded after 10-15 minutes and guided me to the location of the hostel (which is the opposite of the hotel where I was standing), I think it would have been easier if there is at least a sign so the guests will will not wait outside wondering if they are at right place or not.

  : This is a decent hostel in central Saint Petersburg, barely a block away from Kazan Cathedral on Nevsky Prospect. A supermarket can be found just around the corner. The hostel is on the smaller side, but it didn't really feel like it because it had virtually everything I needed.The bedrooms are decently sized. Linen and a towel are provided for free. A light and two power outlets were at each bed. The beds also had curtains for privacy. Small lockers were located in the bedroom, and large plastic containers were underneath the beds.The kitchen was decently stocked, with a stovetop, microwave, refrigerator, and water boiler. A washing machine is also located here, which can be used for a fee, detergent included. A drying rack is available, as well as an ironing board. The common area is where the reception desk is located, and also has a couch, television, and small table. There are two bathrooms, each with a shower, and I don't recall ever having to wait in line to use one. Everything is kept quite clean.The receptionist on duty, Aleksandr, was rather friendly, and I had a long and interesting conversation with him.
  : The hostel is a bit difficult to find, but I was lucky and stumbled upon a local who explained to me where the hostel was, and in Russian that was simple enough for me to understand. However, if you end up being not as lucky, you should copy these directions down.The entrance to the hostel is located in a courtyard, so you have to enter though a gate on the street (Kazanskaya Ulitsa). If you plug the hostel address into Google Maps, you will get an approximate location of the gate, just southwest of the Sberbank located on the same street. There appears to be no call button for the hostel at the gate, so just hit the call button for another hostel there, or wait for someone to eventually open the gate for you. Once you're inside the courtyard, you'll realize that there's another courtyard to your right. The unmarked blue door that is on the far side of this second courtyard is the entrance to the hostel.
