Manor Lodge Guesthouse

: Very quiet and slept well. Lovely view. Interesting building.
: The room was so small that I banged my head on silly shelf below TV. The security lights are activated as you enter the side door but taking dog out for 10.30pm pee I tripped on step and fell. It was because the light only came on after I had fallen! No great damage except a sore knee and head.

Disappointing

: Although the establishment is advertised as 'bed and breakfast', there was NO breakfast to be had, except for dried porridge in tubs. When booking this establishment it stated on BOOKING.COM, breakfast included, when I received confirmation from the establishment I was informed there were NO meals included. The room was dated though clean, the bedding could be updated and improved (old fashioned quilts), it was certainly big enough for one person or two children, two adults would be cramped. The bathroom was excellent modern with good facilities. Tea and coffee and kettle supplied was a nice touch with fresh milk in the fridge in the lounge. The accommodation overall was not as advertised on their own 'postcard'. On the Booking.com site it shows a Manor House, which looks very inviting, but the establishment itself is an ex farm house. I booked this establishment as it was close to my daughter who lives close by at Whitsand Bay, whom I had not seen for a few years due to health and Covid. At 60 per night, I was not impressed,
  : Most of it.

: The accommodation is conveniently sited, the room was spacious, clean and spotless, the bed was extremely comfortable and the hosts Megan and Dick were very friendly, very hospitable and fabulous in every way. Easy off street parking too. We would definitely stay here again.

: Ideal location for me in an old farm premises. Excellent off street parking and period decoration. Excellent hot water and plenty of snacks left out for the guests.
: Only minor criticism would be that the heating was a bit low during a couple of cold nights.

: We, my wife and I were very with the location, it was very convenient for the visits we were making. We liked the easy, relaxed atmosphere of the hostess and the eating arrangements. The parking is good, the village has very narrow roads in that area. No apparent restrictions on our comings and goings. Shops very local. All positive.
: It is easier to enter the parking area by approaching so that the property is on your left. It is a tight turn if approaching with the entrance on your right. There is a clear sign at the entrance so rather than rearrange the village it is probably easier to go past and turn round.

: Beautiful rooms and beds very comfortable. Megan is lovely and very hospitable it felt like a home from home with the nice lounge dining area as an extra space that can be used and the outside seating area. Lovely spot to start a coastal walk
