  : Its well positioned opposite Balboa Park, I had a car and it was a five minute drive to Harbor Drive and the waterfront.
  : First of all, I didnt receive any joining instructions via email or text prior to arrival. The property is accessed by key code entry doors at street-level, and also to gain access to your floor and your room (three codes therefore required). I arrived at around 1930 and couldnt gain access, not great after a long drive. Fortunately, a friendly resident helped me out but it took about 30 minutes to get sorted. Secondly, San Diego has a big homelessness problem and the streets surrounding this property have an assortment of interesting characters camping out on the sidewalk, while this is not the owners problem, see my earlier point. Arriving late and not being able to gain access was stressful given the environment. Also, I parked my car on the street and that caused some worries, first, security, secondly, the parking meters in this part of San Diego dont take cards or coins but require you to download an app. If youre travelling from the UK, you cant download said app. This meant ensuring that the car was moved by 0800 every morning, and I had to ensure that I didnt return before 1800. That was a pain and made for earlier than planned starts in the morning. Lastly, the property is on the final approach for San Diego International Airport and frequent arrivals are 300 ft directly overhead (Im not exaggerating - Im an air traffic controller by profession) the earplugs pre-positioned by the bed were needed. Overall, it was cheap compared to a hotel, however, with the benefit of hindsight I would have paid extra.
