  : Hostess Sabina was very nice and accommodating, took us to our apartment and showed us around. She was very helpful. The location is beautiful and authentic. Walk up the mountain to the city is easily done in 15-20 min with great views of tuscany on the way.
  : All in all a great stay. The bed however was too firm for our liking. Also just to note we had absolutely no cell phone coverage at our place, fine coverage at the pool area though.

  : Excellent position for San Gimignano. Spacious apartment which was well equipped. Lovely bucolic setting.
  : I hadn't noticed that WiFi was not available in the mill buildings - my fault - a presumption that WiFi is an essential service in 2021. However there was also no phone signal. It was thus not possible to investigate possibilities or book restaurants without walking 300 metres to the main building and swimming pool.

  : the Podere is an adjunct structure to the Gioiello which his 400 m away, where the swimming pool is. It is located in the green, at the bottom of the valley. It is certainly quiet, the room is spacious and there is an outside terrace for private use
  : the access on foot to San Gimignano is a steep walk (which might be ok) but roads have no light and in the evening it is impossible to go without a torch. Also, the walk on foot on the main road and in the roundabout (in complete darkness) is not without risks. The property has neither wifi nor internet/phone connection. If you like to be completely disconnected fine, otherwise it is annoying. The swimming pool is nice but is not really close and we did not use it. The Podere property is in a sunk position without any breeze and is a mosquito paradise, just come fully prepared.I think that the other property Gioiello is a far better choice, in term of structure, location and facilities. The owner Sabina is very nice and friendly

Disappointing

  : The pool area was lovely and had great views over the countryside.
  : Th old mill was down in a hollow surrounded by trees and full of insects. The walk up to the pool was up a very steep, unmade road. There was no WiFi or phone service in the apartment. Internally it was dark and gloomy and the lighting in the kitchen was dreadful. There was no place to sit comfortably - two plastic chairs outside and two kitchen chairs at the table. The bed was extremely hard as were the pillows. We had sore backs, hips and necks at the end of our stay. It is a long and difficult walk uphill to the town and as the road is not lit, not realistic to walk in for dinner.

  : Sabina was an excellent host ready to show us the apartment. She replied very quickly to messages and booked a taxi to the airport for us. The apartment was nice, swimming pool just up the hill and 15-20 mins from San Gimignano
  : No mobile service although not much can be done about this due to the rural beautiful location

  : 2nd bedroom was a mezzanine with very tight spiral staircase into the main bedroom so there was very little privacy, beds and pillows were uncomfortable, outdoor furniture was in poor condition and dirty
