  : The staff was kind and we loved that this hotel had a private, secured parking lot. While the room was very spacious and we have a lovely private balcony, the bathrooms are tiny and the beds were not super comfortable. That being said, the staff gave us a bottle of Sicilian wine as a gift upon checkout and that was very kind of them. This hotel is ~10 min walk from the beach / downtown area and only a 5 minute drive to Valley of the Temples (which is a MUST SEE!).
  : The SPA costs extra ... something we ran into throughout Sicily (and this experience wasn't any different) was that hotels would boast a gorgeous sauna, spa, whirlpoool, or indoor pool facilities for the rest and relaxation of their guests; however, upon arrival we'd discover that in order to enter or use ANY of these SPA facilities as an addition 40-55 EUROs PER PERSON, PER HOUR. We've never encountered SPA fees so high anywhere in our travels throughout Europe and this was a huge disappointment. We chose this hotel so that we could use the SPA to relax and recoup during our winter holiday in Sicily and it was a huge bummer that we couldn't use the facilities daily as guests of the hotel, but had to pay between 80 and 110 EUROS PER HOUR on top of the room we were already paying for.

  : Comfy beds, clean rooms, big shower
  : This was an overall enjoyable stay because we did activities like valley of the temples nearby that we really enjoyed. The hotel however did not fully satisfy our expectations. Having paid extra for this hotel with a spa we were expecting a little more luxury than usual however this was not the case. We found the hotel very basic, the lobby and bar was very small and there was no lounge / relax common area. The pool area was nice but the bar was always abandoned and you could not get service there. The museum aspect of the hotel was a little disappointing also. There was only a few exhibitions scattered around the hotel, they all seemed very random and only had descriptions in italian so we didn't know what anything was. The breakfast had a very small selection, i found the food was nice but my partner did not find a lot he enjoyed. The staff have been lovely to us and it would have been a nice stay if the price had been more fair I think our expectations would have been lower and we would have enjoyed it more.
