  : I really loved the location, as it was near the center of town and easy to get to all of the shops. Mostly, it was near the Cathedral. The view, however, was not spectacular. Just a tiny little part of the cathedral.
  : I was disappointed I couldn't get a late checkout after staying two nights. I had to leave right at 11, and I had to wander around a chilly and rainy Santiago for four and a half hours before I could taxi for my flight. When I went into the restaurant next door, owned by the hotel owner, the son of the owner was kind to me, but the other staff were not friendly. In fact, one large man seemed to just glare at me, which was very uncomfortable. One staff would not allow me in the restaurant bc I wanted to have something to drink and sit while I waited for time to pass. He said, "If you don't eat, you can't be in here." I had already eaten some food and left earlier, and had just another 45 minutes before taxi. Then I asserted, "I stayed in the hotel for two days' and fortunately I then was allowed, by the owner (very short woman) to stay in the restaurant. I think there should be more kindness and welcoming atmosphere. I will note the worker--the young man--at the hotel was absolutely wonderful and kind. He did a great job! One small issue: Because of restaurant seating outside, it can be noisy and disturb your sleep. Be aware.
