  : We stayed here two years ago and had a lovely time,it was quite expensive, but they had a great restaurant menu and the food was well prepared and tasty. Before we made this booking I checked the menu online to see if it was still as good. https://ravenhall.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Panorama-Restaurant-evening-menu-.pdf At time of viewing this menu it was a comprehensive three course menu offering a choice of around ten starters, a dozen mains and ten deserts. Three courses for £39.50 and two courses for £30.50. On the basis of this we decided to revisit. We arrived on 18/07/24. Upon checking in the receptionist kindly changed our room allocation to one closer to the entrance so my wife had less distance to walk. After that things went downhill. We went into the garden for aperitif. I went to the bar and ordered two pints of ale which I placed on the room tab. I was astonished when I signed the receipt that they cost £11.30. A while later I returned for a second round and when I went to sign the receipt I noticed that it was £17.90. I queried the price and the charge was reversed and £11.30 was charged. An honest mistake? Still not sure. When we received our menus in the restaurant, they were completely different to those posted on the website, and not just due to availability of ingredients. The menu was similar to a pub grub menu. Gone were the options of a fixed price for two or three courses. Unfortunately I didn’t take a photo of the menu, so I can’t remember the individual prices of our meal, but for our mains I had a burger and my wife had the fish cake dish both of which were close to £20 each. They were both disappointing, the burger dry and overcooked, and the single fish cake bland and very overpriced. We had ordered a bottle of house white that was the cheapest on the wine list at £23.50 a bottle. We ordered another bottle later in the garden and were charged £27.50.

  : Very dated room and would have preferred a non disabilty room with a bath. Also an observation - the bathroom was not very accessible for a disabled person in a wheelchair. (None of the guests were affected). Floor mats, toiletries and toilet roll holder in wrong positions for access.On arrival the receptionist only communicated where our room was, and booked a table for dinner, nothing about WiFi or what time breakfast was, or about any facilities.

  : Overall for what we paid the hotel was satisfactory. It is very much due a refurbishment. The view is absolutely beautiful and staff attentive.
