  : The staff were very polite and clearly work hard in what I believe is a managed house. The building itself is very old and authentic, the breakfast was good and the bed and bedding was very nice. If the owners/brewery/ syndicate would only provide the resource to add the finishing touches it would be an absolute gem of a place. Breakfast was served in the public bar area but the tables were clean and the service very prompt from the same gent who checked me in the previous day.
  : The hygiene of some areas of the room and the bath seals being dirty and there were some dead afid/fruit flies on the bathroom sink when I checked in (after hours so couldn't raise at the time or request a change of room).When I arrived the door to my room was ajar and noted this wouldn't shut flush without locking the door. The public bar toilets smell bad and need some updating/ hygiene improvements.

  : There' at 3.30 check in on booking. Com was 4 room not ready till 5.30 pm ,we were the only 2 staying there,no meals

  : Restaurant was not open and there wasnt a restaurant open in the whole of settle so a pint and packet of crisps for dinnerIn the morning we were told Im running late do you want a cooked breakfastSo it was a cup of tea and a box of cornflakes no toast.
