  : The Briar is a well appointed property. The kitchen is fantastic loads of storage, high-quality equipment - excellent for a family.On arrival the communication with the property manager was excellent and we had no issues getting in and making ourselves comfortable. The living area is comfortable for four - we were only two but think a family of six would find it a bit cramped.The dining table was perfect for us as a couple and could probably accommodate four comfortably and there is a breakfast bar just next to the table.The 3 bedrooms are all doubles - one king, one queen and one double. The single bathroom and toilet was well appointed and very clean. The shower above the bath worked well. The location is good for a local stay in Thornaby. There is a Sainsbury’s Local 5 mins walk away. The Teeside Shopping and Leisure Centre is only a few minutes drive away.It is possible to get a car into the driveway which made us feel more comfortable. It was also pleasantly quiet in the area during our stay. The owners keep this property really clean and and we enjoyed our stay and would come again.
  : Storage upstairs is a bit limited. Only one room had a cupboard with hanging space and a shelf. There is a free-standing hanging rack on the landing. Otherwise there was no other drawers for clothing. The local area leaves a little to be desired. I walked to the local shop fairly late at night and there were some people gathered in groups for no apparent reason. In fact a local middle-aged woman at the shop asked me to walk her part way home past the gathered groups of lads as she was nervous. When we arrived there was a fair amount of litter around the road by the house. However as we were leaving Community Litter Pickers were cleaning it all up.
